If you use WordPress probably I do not think I need to tell what is a database. But everyone should know that every database must be saved periodically. I’ll speak about a plugin very useful and that any blogger should have installed, the WordPress Backup Database, which helps you to make and schedule your backups automatically..
..
It leads you to a page in which you see the progress of the process. At the end you should have a new directory for backup files in /wp-content/. If there is something wrong and it can’t create it maybe you have to change the directories privileges on your server..

When considering your blog design, the most important element - and the one too few people consider - is the personality, or the atmosphere of the blog. This is the key factor that determines the success of your blog; it is the also the first impression your blog will have on your new visitor.
If you’ve ever been on a guided tour, you’ll know that much of your experience, be it good or bad, is based on the guide. Some guides are boring, others are entertaining; some offer interesting and pertinent details, others offer such exhaustive information that your head starts spinning; others still, bore you to tears.

Successful Business Blogs Are Reliable
A business blog, regardless of how aesthetically pleasing, or well coded it is, if it is not seen to be reliable, it will become useless as a tool.
A reliable business blog is one that is written by a reliable source. As a business owner, you are that reliable source. You’ve had industry experience, you keep up to date with industry news, and you can offer advice - not only about your product/service, but also industry trends..

Basically, keywords can do a lot of magic to your blog in terms of traffic through search engines. It is because search engines understand your blog through keywords. When someone tries to search for a certain keyword through Google, Yahoo, or MSN, it will show results of the sites they have indexed containing the word that someone is looking for. Depending on the keyword consistency of the page and the site as a whole, the search engines display their results according to the authority of the site on that particular keyword from the strongest to the weakest; where traffic, most of the time, is exclusive only to those who are displayed on the first to the tenth results page. By using keywords effectively in your posts, theoretically, you’ll increase your traffic from search engines because you’ll get your site displayed on the first five or ten search result pages of your keywords. At the same time, you’ll have audience who are interested in what you have to say or offer because you appeared in their searches.

Find the hottest keywords
Sometimes, you might want to fight fire with fire rather than build things slowly because the keywords you’ve been brainstorming about don’t get a sufficient search volume which you could call a boost in traffic. And one way to get that hot traffic is to get highly searched keywords into your blog..

A lot of new bloggers want to include advertising on their site, but find the idea of adding an advertisement to their sidebar daunting. If your blog runs on WordPress software, it’s a simple matter of using your text widgets to show ads. In this post, we’ll show you how.
..
Rather than change designs now, a simple approach is to use the standard WordPress Text Widget to show image ads. Once you have had experience with displaying ads, you can then decide whether it is worth changing your theme to accommodate the ads.
What is an ad?
When you sign up for ads, typically via an affiliate program, you will be provided with a username and password which will allow you to login and select the ads you wish to run on your blog.
..
How to put an image ad into a text widget
The simplest thing to do is to display one ad per text widget.
Within the Design - Widgets section of your WordPress Dashboard, add a new Text Widget.
- Do not enter a title for the Text Widget (the single line edit box at the top).

Themes or Templates, Web Design, Weblog (Blog), Wordpress Blog
If you have been using WordPress you probably know that there are thousands of very nice and freely available themes that you can use to skin your WordPress blog. What you might not realize, though, is that you should take a look under the hood of a theme before you put it into live duty on the blog that you have worked hard to build. Here are some things to take a look at:
1. Sidebars - Widgets or Hardcoded
The drag and drop nature of the WordPress Widgets are much easier for the casual blogger to manage but many power users prefer the old fashioned hard coded sidebar system. If the theme you are considering is not widget ready and you would like to use widgets you will need to add the necessary code to activate the widget system. Here are a couple of useful links for making a non-widget theme widget friendly.
..
3. Page Navigation for sub-pages
If the theme generates the horizontal navigation links for your site automatically you may also want to know how sub pages will be handled. Depending on the way the navigation is coded and how the CSS stylesheet is constructed you may either find your subpages listed on the same level as your top level pages, listed as CSS dropdown menus when hovered over, or completely omitted from the horizontal navigation.
